Hi Community Champs,

I have a user requirement where when we Print a label through WMS App using Menu item /reprint label/ it only generates 1 label.

Now requirement is that if we have multiple quantitiy . Ex Item ABC , PO received Qty 250. Then generating label one by one is not very efficient way .

Is there a setup through which we can print multiple quantity labels please?

Thanks
Gaurav

    Hi Gaurav :

1- you have to define the multiples unit for example CTN_250 and link it to inventory unit (1CTN_250 = 250 ea)
2- define a new unit sequence group ID and add the multiples unit.
3- In Mobile device Menu Items create a menu item for example PO-Receive , write a title and in Work creation process select "Purchase Order Line receiving and Put away" ,
4- activate generate licence plate and Print label.
5- Add menu to Mobile device.
6 - try to receive a PO line with Qty 500 ea (or 2 CTN_250) , system will Print two labels each with 1 CTN_250 pcs with two different lisence plates.

Note : label layout must be defined in advance in document routing layout in ZPL code and linked to warehouse through document routing. Also take note in case you are using quality association , new quality Order will be genarted for each label generated with a different LP. for example in above case , Two quality orders will be generated per each lisence plate.

There is one smart way. Using disposition codes with an advanced ZPL design, The mobile device user can decided how many labels to print in each case. I desgined that solution for a customer who work with iron parts and nowadays is working for them fine. If you are interested, soon I will post the complete solution on my linkedin.

You can add the number of copies to the ZPL code with the ^PQ command.
This is very helpful if you want to receive and put away the items per LP, but want to print a label per pcs.

    example:
On the released products we determine via a product filter code if a receipt label should be printed per pcs

I have created two receipt labels (document routing layouts)
    - label per LP
    - label per pcs

The label layouts are completely the same except for this:

So, if i receive a LP with 20 pcs of item A, the receipt process will create 1 LP with 20 pcs of item A, but 20 labels will be printed for item A, with qty = 1,00
