Locating user setup in on premise sql database

Hello experts

I am in the process of creating reports on users and their access rights/permissions in our various systems and I am trying to figure

where that is stored in business central sql database. Purposes is to have dashboard in Power BI where auditors and system administrator can keep track of this.

We are using on-premises 2019 version.

I have found a few tables with usernames in them but not anything useful. Is this even stored in BC database?

Best regards

Lasse

Hi, hope the following can give you some hints. You can go to the database to find the corresponding table below.

How to list all permissions (all users with permission sets or all permission sets with permissions…)

    Thanks.

    Hi Zhu,

    Thank you for your reply.

I can get the lists working, but the AL programming I cannot do, no one in our company has sufficient access to do that.
So for that I need to involve our BC consultants.

But does this mean as per default you cannot get this from underlying SQL database. I have to program a custom table first?
Because it would be much easier for me to just connect to our SQL database as I do for the GL entries, fixed assets and such
and build the access rights and permissions from there.

Hi, I think you can try to combine the following two tables as I did in AL.

Hope this gives you some hints.

    Thanks.

    Hi Zhu,

    There it was!

I could not find that. I have 29 companies in our BC, 8 of them dbo names starts with A1 to A8 and then comes ALS so I
missed it hiding in between those. With 59569 tables in this database it can be difficult to find.

    Thanks a lot

    Brgds Lasse
