hi,
I am trying to show a map on an entity form on the portal that will show a whole country instead of a specific point on the map. I don't mind if the pin points onto a specific point as long as the map is zoomed out enough to show the whole country.
When I only enter the country in the address field without the coordinates the map does not work
I have followed the instructions in the portal documentation https://community.adxstudio.com/products/adxstudio-portals/documentation/configuration-guide/customization-tools/managed-forms/geolocation/ but when I include a custom field for Country in the section_map I get an error on the portal when the form loads,
without any field in that section the map loads fine but is zooming in too much. (I know I can zoom it out manually to see the country but I don't want to do that)
does any one know how I can show a whole country on the map and why am I getting this error when adding a field to the map section?
I am using CRM 2016 update 1 and Portal v8
thanks,
Martyna

I have the same question (0)Martyna,
It is hard for me to say what might be going on without seeing the exact configuration of your CRM Form, Entity Form, Web Page, Website, etc. Even with that I am still uncertain that I could resolve the issue without trial and error.
I went ahead and tested this the best I could with the information I have here and obtained a few different results. I was able to view a country, but the behavior was strange. I was using the Contact Entity and the standard address fields. If I placed data in the "Country/Region" field nothing would happen. If I placed the name of a country in the First field, "address", and clicked tab or moved to the next field, the data was moved to the "Country/Region" field and the map was oriented to show only the country I specified.
I also tested a few Site Settings from the legacy portals (Adxstudio Portals v7 <) with strange results depending on browser. ( Bingmaps/restURL and map_zoom )
This could be a bug, its hard to say. I am also not sure of the compatibility of legacy portal site settings with the new portal add-on for MSDYN CRMOL 2016 Update 1 as this information has not been published to my knowledge.
If you are able to post some screenshots here I will be happy to take a look as time permits. Otherwise I would consider opening a support case to enable an engineer to dig deeper.
