Suspending Payments in GP?

Hello...I was wondering if there was a way in GP to suspend payments from a customer? I deal with accounts that have the possibility of being terminated if payment is not received by a very specific due date. I would like to be able to disable payments from a customer if they miss this deadline. Is this possible? I know that when I make then "Inactive" they can still make a payment which is what I want to avoid. Thanks!

Customers on hold can still make payments but cannot raise an order or invoice.

No transactions, including payments, can be entered against a customer who is Inactive.

To make the customer Inactive, it cannot have any Open documents.  All documents would have to have been paid or otherwise cleared via Credit Memo, etc.
