We just did a full copy from Dev to a Demo instance (both sandbox), after the full copy the environemtn works well, but when we try to deploy an unmanaged solution from same Dev to Demo instance it fails with following error message.

Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.DependencyBase' with unique index 'ndx_UniqueDependencyNodes'. The duplicate key value is (f6b41023-89fc-4efe-9d24-b5d8af70c580, 0c592a9c-e544-47f5-8283-65210c46e22a).

Any idea what might be causing this?

Check you solution XML , It may be possible that there are some duplicate value tags.

    Hi,

There is a potential fix for this issue in the below blog-

    Hi

It looks like something was not fully/properly completed by the Full Copy process itself.

I would first try the following and see if this fixes the issue

    01. Reset the Demo instance

    02. Copy the Dev to Demo again - Full Copy

    03. Try and import your unmanaged solution from dev and see if it fixes the issue

If you still have the issue,  you may have to raise a ticket with Microsoft, have a look at the link below as well
