SMTP with OAuth 2.0 server

Hello,
 
Please give me some advice about Email setup in Business Central.
I'm looking for a way to connect an external SMTP server and Business Central with OAuth2.0 because Basic-Authentication is going to be deprecated in Feb. 2026.
 
Is there a way to connect a third party SMPT server to Business Central?
Without development, is Exchange Online the only option?

    Hello,
     
    Business Central does not support OAuth 2.0 for third-party SMTP servers out of the box. The standard SMTP setup only supports basic authentication. Exchange Online is the only no-development option that supports OAuth 2.0 natively. If you want OAuth with another mail provider, you need custom development (e.g. Graph API or external service/relay).
