Reminder Email Sent After Payment Posted

Hi,
 
I posted a customer payment on Sunday. I have reminder emails being sent out daily at midnight. A reminder email was sent out at midnight for a customer payment I posted that day. Why would this email be sent out if the invoice is no longer outstanding.

    Hello,
     
    Reminder emails are sent by a scheduled batch job, not in real time. When the job ran at midnight, the invoice was still considered open (payment posted/applied later that day or evaluated by posting date logic). So the reminder was triggered even though it was paid the same day. Adjust job timing or ensure payments are fully applied before the reminder run.

    Reminder emails are sent based on the invoice status when the job runs; if the payment was posted or applied after the cut-off, the invoice was still considered outstanding, so the reminder was sent.
