Unable to Complete or Remove Transfer Order

Hi,

On SK Foods’ NAV 2018 system we have a transfer order TORD0092177 that shows as being shipped. When we try to receive it in NAV says the In-transit code is missing, but I cannot add that in as it’s not an editable field.

We need to complete the transfer, either by receiving it in or deleting it, how can I do this?

Hi, in this case, there are generally two ways. One is to have a developer assist in adding this value. The other is to use the Configuration Package, first export the Transfer Header, and then manually add this value when importing.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

previous similar issues and solutions also suggest to use item reclassification journals to move the stuck items to correct location. however, user needs to make the in-transit location a regular location by unchecking a flag. also user needs to make sure no transfer orders are being processed during the change. then user could reclassify the stuck items and re-check the in-transit location.

    Hi,

Adding the value seems the better option. I could add the “9999” in-transit location code via SQL, would that be ok?

Making the in-transit location a regular location would be a problem as it would interrupt users posting other transfers, and is it even possible if there are other open transfers with stock in the in-transit location?

do that outside business hour and complete other open transfer orders

We run 24/7 so there’s not really a convenient time to change the in-transit location settings. There are always open transfer in the system and it’s only the one transfer we want to complete.

Can you confirm if it would be OK for me to add the “9999” in-transit location code via SQL?

That would save one of developers having to do it.

Hi, it would be ok, but not recommended.
Another thing to note is that this field on the transfer line also needs to be updated.
