Customer field does not always populate in the Opportunity Form

Hi there,

I have an issue where the Customer field does not always populate for the Opportunity entity. If I'm creating a new Opportunity, and I enter in all the details including Parent Account and then Save the Opportunity for the first time, the Customer field does not get populated. However, if I save the Opportunity first, and then enter in the Parent Account details, the Customer field get populated. Has anyone else faced this issue and is there a solution?

    Do you have any workflows or custom plugins running when an opportunity record is created?

    Hi,

    This is on Microsoft Dynamics Online 2015. There were a few other workflows that were running on Opportunity Create. One of them checked for certain contacts, and deleted them from the Opportunity if they matched a certain criteria. I guess it's this workflow that's causing the issue, because as soon as I disabled it, the Parent Account/Customer issue went away. Thanks for your help! I'll try and find a workaround for that Workflow.
