SQL Code behind Reports

Hello Experts!

I’m new to Microsoft CRM but I must say it’s impressive.  Now I’ve got a basic question for you experts. On CRM I’ve got a few reports and so interested to see the SQL Code behind the scene.  Can please somebody help me with finding the SQL Code for the reports.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi asyed01,

First, In Crm, highlight the report you want to view and then click 'Edit Report'.  In the report dialog, click the 'Actions' button and then select 'Download Report'.  This will give you the reports .rdl file.  The .rdl is and xml file so you can open it with not pad to view the SQL for the report.  Ideally, you would create a SQL Reporting Project in Visual Studio and add the .rdl.  That will give you a data view and the layout of the report.
