Setting Up Reports

Can someone help me by replying with the steps to set up/create Purchasing History and Posting Journal Reports?

Also, I need to setup/create Balance Sheets, Profit/Loss, and Trial Balance reports that I need assistance with

    Hi Marcus,

    For your Purchasing History reports, you have several options available within GP found under Purchasing > Reports > History.  You also have SmartLists found under Microsoft Dynamics GP > SmartList > Purchasing.  If you have deployed the standard SQL Reporting Services reports, this opens another option as well.

    Posting reports will automatically print from GP depending on the setup located under Administration > Posting > Posting.  Posting reports will print during transaction and batch level posting and can be reprinted from any module under Reports > Posting Journals (Cross-Reference if in Financial series).

    If edits need to be made to these standard GP reports, you can click the "Modify" button on screen output or open Report Writer from Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Customize > Report Writer.  If doing this, I would review the printable manuals available from the GP Help menu.

    As far as your financial statements, what tool is the organization using: FRX, Management Reporter, or standard GP financials?

    For using GP standard financial reports, take a look at GP Printable Manuals available under the help files (these are located under the "?" in the upper right corner of the GP window).  In the Printable Manuals, take a look at Financial > General Ledger.  Part 5: Reports > Chapter 30 goes over GP's financial statement tool.
