Posted on by 1,145

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to do a partial fulfilment of order using Order fulfilment and Invoice, but the BACK ORDER is not working to be able to fulfil an order partially, Except i cancel the remaining order. I have done the set up that i need to do going by the manual.

Can someone please help me out.

Saheed.

    Sagi88,

I have tried that but not working exactly the way i want. First of all, i need to understand BACK ORDER properly also what i want to achieve is to raise a SINGLE invoice and able to raise different dispatch notes (Waybills) as the Items on the invoice being delivered in parts (partial delivery). The document type i want to raise from the Initial has to be an INVOICE, on which the item invoiced are to be delivered in parts.

This was an issue we had ran into in the past using the Back Order document. I am not 100% sure you can specify the partial fulfillment of the backorder. From what I remember (we have changed our process since then), you could only tell it to transfer the back order to an order/invoice and the GP would transfer everything it could transfer to the order/invoice. It was not the most flexible process in the world, which is why we have switched the way we do it. I stand to be corrected if someone else knows better than I do. Ron

    Hi Saheed.

Make sure that the allow back order is marked on the item options window.

On the sales document setup make sure you have check transfer the Fulfillment order / Invoice to backorder and given a backorder document type to the document you are using to invoice.

    Hope this helps
