Hello Community,
With the Dynamics 365 wave 2 release that's happening now in October, one major update is around the Unified Interface.
I read somewhere that the legacy classic entity form UI interface in Dynamics 365 (specifically D365 for Customer Engagement) will be permanently removed and not available on October 1, 2020. Can anyone help to confirm if this is the correct understanding?
Basically, I want to confirm that Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement clients would still have the ability to continue using the legacy classic UI, and would still have time between now and October 1, 2020 to transition to the new Unified Interface UI.
Inputs are appreciated!
Thank you,
Eric
This is great! Thanks Henry!
Hi Eric,
This is absolutely correct, the legacy web client is officially deprecated.
The announcement blog for this is here: https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/it/2019/09/10/announcing-the-timeline-to-move-to-unified-interface/
And this is also documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/important-changes-coming#legacy-web-client-is-deprecated
So customers must plan their transition to Unified Interface before October 1st, 2020.
There are useful resources to get started located here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/model-driven-apps/unified-interface-playbook
