PSTL-Vendor Combiner-GP 2010

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am attempting to combine duplicate vendors that were created and received the following message:

Unhandled script exceptions:

[Microsoft][SQL Server Native Client 10.0][SQL Server] could not find stored procedure 'RFC.dbo.taCallVendorCombine'.

I performed the SQL Maintenance

RFC (company) /Technical Service Tools/Create Table/Create Auto Procedure with our partner prior to attempting this but it seems to not have helped.

Help?

Thanks in advance!

    Harry,

Not sure if it was your suggestion or the fact that I needed to click the "Register" link at the bottom of the PSTL screen (or maybe combination of both?) but I am now able to perform the functions I needed to do via PSTL.

Thank you so much for your help.  I appreciate your time!

    Leilani,

I apologize.  GP 2013 has a Rebuild Procs button.  In order to Rebuild Dex Procs in GP 2010 or prior you need to use the Recreate SQL Objects option in the toolkit.  You are better served to run the rebuild on each series rather than on each table.

    Harry Lee and Mahmoud,

Thank you for your replies and suggestions.  I don't see the "Rebuild Procs" option on the home page of our PSTL. Under the "Tool Kit" option in "System Tools" it shows "Rebuild GL00105" & "Recreate SQL Objects."  Do we have/need a different version than we currently have?

    Thanks!

When you first open the PSTL tool, all stored procedures and database objects are created initially. In case you had such a problem, do not look for the SQL maintenance to handle PSTL related issues. The "rebuild processes" button on the PSTL homepage is the first thing to consider when it comes to missing stored procedures.

Let us know how things go with you,

I experienced a similar error in PSTL a couple of days ago.  In my case only companies newly created after PSTL were installed were affected.  I opened PSTL from within the problem companies and clicked the Rebuild Procs button in PSTL.  This fixed my problem.
