Process Development

Hi Community,

This week I have created a process workflow that scopes the organization and runs when a Record Field is Changed, to scans a field in an entity to see if that field reads the number 20. If that field value is 20, send an email to a team member with the field number and account name. The process works but it is currently sending an email for every field value (so is not scanning to see if it is 20). It is also sending duplicate emails for the same value/account name. I tried to add in a 'Stop Workflow' but the process would be 'waiting' at this stage and continue to send emails for every field value.

The flow I need is: Scan a field to see if it is 20 > send an email to a team member > stop workflow.

But I can't seem to do it. Can you please confirm if I am missing anything? If so, step by step pointers would be really helpful.

Many thanks,

Emma

can you add a screenshot of your workflow? there are other processes (like integration or plugins) that maybe update the same field?

    Hi,

you added the step after your condition check, so currently it will be triggered every time the field(s) defined inside the change trigger are updated.

you will need to remove the send email step you added, after click on the "select this row and click Add Step" and there add your send email step (so it will be executed only when the value you defined (20) is true

    Hi all,

I have done the above and the process is now live and I assumed it to be working.

I have checked the 'Process Session' history and there have been a few 'successful' jobs but none of those who are in the email send process has not received an email.

Do you know why this might be? Do I need to have someone in the 'From' field on the email?

Any information you could provide would be highly appreciated.
