Hi,

my process is that when a customer send email to us a contact is auto created with the first and last name of the email sender, but when I activate an automatic record creation rule for a case the name of the contact become the email address of the sender instead of the the first and last name
any help?

    Hi Yasemeen zada,

As far I know this is default behaviour of CRM. For example you received an email from justinjose@crm.com. CRM doesn’t know how separate First Name and Last name from the above email address.

Few things you can achieve which are

    1. if an email address contain ‘.’ ( justin.jose@crm.com) then using a plugin on oncreate of contacts you can split First Name and Last Name.

    2. Keeping full name as Last name. In this case you have remove @crm.com using a plugin on oncreate of contacts

    Thanks

    Justin Jose
