When a record is selected returns no data

As the subject suggests, when using the "When a record is selected" trigger nothing is returned. Well the only thing I get is the information on the user triggering it.

Everything else is empty. I am attempting to attach it to the sub-grid that is showing SharePoint documents through the SharePoint document integration.

What I am attempting to do is allows the user select a file and launch a flow that will grab the file and send it to a specific customer. If the way I am going about it is not ideal please feel free to recommend alternatives, I am open to ideas.

Hi,

I try to use the trigger “When a record is selected” and get the data returned successfully.

These are my steps for reference.

1.Create a flow

2.Edit the flow

3.Run the flow and get the output

I recommend you to check the environment choosed.

If you still have problems please show some screenshots about your flow with “When a record selected” trigger.

Eiken Thank you for the reply, what you have put above is the exact steps I went through. But after some additional research it seems like it may not be possible to be done on a SharePoint Document sub-grid.

Unless you know of a way to perform this action on the SharePoint Documents?

I had the same issue. When triggering a Power Automate in a Model Driven App, no data comes in e.g. the TriggerBody is empty.

What solved the issue for me is Initializing a variable, then filling that variable with data that the trigger returns. See the screenshot below.

After initializing a variable, the trigger does return data and you can use this data in your consequent steps.

Hello anybody manage to do this? I don't find any documentation that say is not possible but I'm not able to do it. I want to trigger the flow for specific documents too.
