Auto batch reservation on Accounts Receivable Parameter

Any one knows what this parameter controls? What would be the difference if this is turned on?

    Hi Victoria,

    I consulted the official documentation but unfortunately, I didn't find a description of what this button does. 

    I think it's used for reserving items automatically when you create a sales order line.

    Old post, but this flag causes the sales order line to launch the "Batch reservation" form instead of the regular reservation form.  Same as if the user went from a sales line -> Inventory -> Batch reservation.

    Hi Victoria,
     
    Activating this flag prompts the sales order line to trigger the "Batch reservation" form instead of the standard reservation form. 
    It allows to reserve inventory in batch.
