Automatically closed sales order still appears open in inventory

I have an order that ran past its cancel by date and the order automatically closed on 1/29/11.  However, when I look in the inventory status inquiry screen it still says that the quantity that remained on the sales order is on sales orders.  Is this normal and does anyone have ideas how to correct it.

    I was having some problems with quantity on order and this came up.

    Bug - 12908 - Quantity on Order and Quantity on Back Order are not updated when a Sales Order is canceled via the Cancel by Date.

    You will need to run the integrity check to correct the balance.  I had tried the Inventory version but it did not correct it so tech support had me run the OM version and it did work.
