Dynamics CRM security model in SharePoint

Hi guys,

I just wondering is there some way to achieve such functionality, that user who doesn't have access to file in CRM wouldn't be able to access in Sharepoint too. Would like to do it programmatically, not by the third party.

    Hi,

    I don't think there are no straight forward API's which you can use to achieve this requirement.

    Check this link which has some thoughts about how you can achieve this with some alternate workarounds.

    On the SharePoint side there are good api's to set the permissions on any level (site, list, folder, item etc). Look at terms like ResetRoleInheritence, BreakRoleInheritence and RoleAssignment in combination with CSOM.

    You only need to make sure you have the right persons to add from a CRM perspective.

    I would seriously consider third party, as this will take a lot of effort to build.
