    Hi,

You can develop a windows service and consume CRM SDK, you can have timer in windows setting where you can define when you want to run it.

You can see reference here: www.c-sharpcorner.com/.../develop-and-install-a-windows-service-in-C-Sharp

if facing any issue share it here.

    Thanks

You can add app config file there and define your credentials there.

    Thanks

    Thanks Mahen,

I added all the information inside the app.config and added all .dlls as well.

but still having the issue - "Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Xrm' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?) D:\WindowsServiceCS\HelperCls.cs 5 17 WindowsServiceCS

    "

And please suggest me I am going on right track or not?

Scenario : I have a website form, once it submitted by customer it will create entry inside database table. I need to run any service which can read all the records from that table and create opportunity in the CRM.

I am plane to create windows service with scheduler - Is it correct or i have to move with something else?

    Hi,

Assuming you are referring custom db here, you can also write script to call your custom assembly so as soon as new record will be created, it can call your custom code and create record in CRM this will be a better options, otherwise you can use windows service as well.

    Thanks

    Hi Tin,

You Can create a windows Service and migrate it to Azure later on. Here is a link

    Migrating Windows Service to Azure
    https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/joseph_fultz/2010/04/02/migrating-windows-service-to-azure-worker-role-image-conversion-example-using-storage/

I haven't gone through the link so can't say whether it will really serve your requirement. You can refer the MSDN article which talks about Azure Integration with MS CRM

    https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg309340.aspx

Regarding the error you are getting "Error 1 The type or namespace name 'Xrm' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?)"

Check which version of .Net Framework you are using. Change that to .Net Framework 4.0

    Best Regards

    Pankaj
