CRM 2013 - Lead field companyname in overview missing

Hi there,

in the overview of all leads in Dynamics CRM 2013, I would like to add a column with the Company Name (from the lead > not the connected account).

If I try to add the column, I can not find the field available to be added.

Can anyone help?

    Hi Daniel,

Looks like a bug in MSCRM2013, we are having the same issue. Perhaps as a workaround until Microsoft releases a fix, you can create a new view, since the [new] view template have that column on it.

The field is there in the view with ishidden="1" attribute and that why it's not showing on the view and we're not able to add it again.

It seems to be the same for all Lead System Views and I'm not sure what's the purpose of hiding that view.

As a workaround, create a new view with the same columns and filter as Eric suggested and deactivate the system view.

Or you you can use View Layout Replicator from XRMToolBox and update it back to system view.

    xrmtoolbox.codeplex.com

    And delete the custom view.

When Microsoft makes mistakes on business applications and then take forever to fix; it really does kill all confidence.

Yea, looks like a bug to me also. However, I was able to get it to show up (without creating a new view) by "playing around with it." I clicked on Edit Columns, and then clicked Add Columns. Then I sorted by Name (still not there), then I changed the Record Type to "Parent Account for lead (Account)" and sorted that by Type and then changed back to the "Lead" record type (still not there). I then sorted by Type and then sorted by Name, and walaa, there it is!

I didn't believe this at first, but I tried it and it worked! Thanks for the suggestion!

I also couldn't believe what Nick4978 was saying, but I tried it and it worked like a charm the first time!

Hi there, the workaround from Nick4978 works perfectly. Just to let everyone know this is still an issue in CRM 2015.

Still a frustrating issue that I wish Microsoft would fix properly

    Hi Everyone,

This issue exists in CRM 2015 as well.

Does anyone has any idea that when this issue will be fixed by Microsoft ?

    Thanks,

    Ravi
