"Life" of a Sales Document

Hi:

Is there a report that shows the "life" of a sales document from original sales quote to sales order to sales invoice and places these three document numbers in separate columns for that customer?

Here is a list of all standard sales reports in BC: Sales report overview - Business Central | Microsoft Learn

There is not a report that meets the requirements you are looking for. You would have to create a new custom report with the help of a developer. One challenge you will have is that invoices are not particularly tied to a single order. I have had end users utilize comments on lines in the invoice in order to manage similar scenarios but it is manual.

Hi there,

As previously suggested, there is no standard report that is suitable for that kind of tracking that you are looking for, however if you make use of archiving, Sales Quotes, Orders etc. are archived which can allow a developer to easily fetch, the quote, related order and related posted sales invoice into a single view that you are looking for, even when the sales quote and order no longer exist actually exist.
