Hello community,

I have an entity "opportunity" and i have a 1-N relationship with "contract".

I need to update the steps of my BPF(Opportunity), once all my contracts are desactivated.

I'am under the 8.2 version.

Which the best way to achieve this?

any code will be very appreciate.

Thank you,

    Hello David,

In addition If you don't want to use workflow tool you can go for custom workflow or plugin which will trigger  status change of contract or update. In the code Retrieve all active contracts for the for the parent opportunity , if there is no active contracts found update the field of parent opportunity.

    Hi David,

I think one of the questions would be how are you deactivating the contract records.

There are 2 Workflow Utilities that provide you with that functionality (Ultimate Workflow Toolkit and Dynamics 365 Workflow Tools). They are well known in the industry if you have not used them.

If you are calling the deactivation via Workflow, or can call a Workflow that will call the Custom workflow, this would be the easiest approach.

For example you can have a status field that specifies "Contracts Deactivated", when that status is changes to Yes (or other status), a workflow would execute, which one of the steps would be to call the Set Process or Change Process of the Workflow Utility.

    Hope this helps.
