Importing 400 batch orders via Data Management vs PowerAutomate

Dear experts

I need advice on which technique to be used for importing batch orders as part of an integration required by our Supply Chain Team.

The integration is quite simple , given the CSV file saved in a folder , the user will import the file in D365 once or twice a day  and the batch orders will be generated.

Now , by using data management , it took 5 minutes to import almost 400 orders that is not bad at all.

I have alternatively designed a Power Automate Flow that imports the same file but it took almost 42 minutes.

Power Automate allows me to do more user-friendly steps such as moving the file in another folder once read, generate a customized email and definitely easy to use from an user perspective, but  the D365 connector seems to perform not smoothly , in the snapshot below for some orders it took 5 minutes the batch order  compared to others  where it took a couple of seconds.

Am I pushing Power Automate to the limit here or should I use a different technique?

Thanks

    Hi Alessandro Parisi,

The specific integration method depends on your needs. Power Automate may not work well when dealing with large amounts of data.

You also need to consider the problems you may encounter later, such as the growth of data volume. I think batch data integrations is a good choice.
