Workflow sending duplicate emails

I have a "waiting condition" workflow that sends a duplicate email every time one is set to send from the workflow. One email shows that its created by the User and the duplicate email shows that its created by the system.

does anyone know what is going on with the workflow?

I would look for a duplicate workflow. If the user is not the same then it's not coming from the same place. Try to put a star (*) in the filter and list all of them.

There are older versions of the workflow in the system, but the workflows are fired manually. So, this should ensure that there are no duplicate workflows running on a certain opportunity. We checked the processes on a certain opp, and It showed only one workflow running in the background.

Did you ever find cause of this?  I have a similar problem with duplicate emails, but no workflow involved.

It's sounds like a some mismatch with async workflows.

What is the criteria for the workflow start the process of wait a condition?

    Create record/ Update Status/ Update field ?

Before the workflow is fired, how many instances active are present for that record on "System Jobs"?

After the workflow is triggered, it simply sends the email, or browse/update other conditions that may generate a new process of "wait a condition"?

By default workflows are queued to run asynchronously. At the time the instance is running, the registration conditions can not be the same compared to the conditions at the moment he was placed in the queue.

Give to us more information about the workflow configuration, and status of the system jobs.
