How to update Fixed locations for Items using Scanning gun

Hi All, Client currently do not have fixed locations mapped to items in their current ERP system. So we cannot use data migration logic to update the Fixed locations for Items in D365 F&O. They have physically labeled each Item with location in warehouse. They want to use the scan gun/ mobile device and some how update the Fixed locations for the items since manually entering Fixed location is not possible due to the amount of items. I am looking for options that we can used to make this process easy for them.

    Hi,
    You can just create a Spot count Mobile device menu item, ensure the locations are activated for cycle counting, there's a setting called "Allow cycle counting" you'll see this in the Location profile you have setup for this.
    Create a Cycle count Mobile device menu and add this in, create a Worker, with a Warehouse management app log in/access.
     
    There is some setup required as you can see so let us know if you need more help.
