There are times when we search for a place from where we get functional related information, but haven't found any.
Whereas we have functional blogs for AX. :(
Disappointing, isn't it.

Richard Whaley's books are really good. If you are looking for a "how-to" you should check those out. Another good source of training is the help file in GP. Just click the blue question mark on any window and it will give you an explanation of what each field/button in each window does.
I'd also recommend Microsoft's learning materials. Your IT department or VAR should be able to give you access to CustomerSource.
There are lots of good blogs for MS Dynamics GP as and many have posted their links here. For other information on GP, take a look at the books we publish. We have over 30 different titles for GP.

People create blogs and write about what interests them.
I originally intended my blog to be a fairly even three way split between functional, technical and resolutions to problems (which could be technical or functional), but I think I have ended up being far more technical as I find writing and researching for this type of posts to be far more interesting.
I agree blogs are not intended to replace formal training, and I am not asking for GP blogs who replace formal training.
I am talking about the blogs which talk about gp in a functional way as there are many other technical blogs.
I agree with Frank. As a business owner, I would neither expect nor want my employees learning how to use a critical business system like Dynamics GP from a blog. That absolutely has to come from training. Blogs can certainly enhance knowledge, help give you ideas, help troubleshoot, etc., but they cannot not replace training.
I have to respectfully disagree Almas and Soma. In my opinion, blogs are not intended to replace formal training or user guides. They are generally intended to share solutions to more complex issues that users may encounter.
Almas, if you need an answer to a basic question such as you propose, hit the F1 button in GP and read the Help files or consult the Printable Manuals which are also found under the Help menu.
Almas is correct.
Almas, Microsoft recommended my blog (dynamicsthoughts.wordpress.com) last week. The purpose of this blog is help to the new GP user. Now, I have published some post like other GP blog mention above. I have more posts same as your expectation. I will post it on upcoming days.
Thank you all, all these blogs are good or better to say great, but they are telling me.
How to open fiscal year or close it.
How to put image through a report writer.
Discussing posting setup.
How to setup new company.
so I don't think those are purely functional.
let's say. just a basic example.
I am end user, new to gp.
I have to record $100 amount which one of my customer ABC will pay me and I don't know from which window in GP I can record it.
Almas,
I would highly consider our MVP's blogs altogether as more than an essential source of knowledge. If you refer to Mr. David list of Microsoft Dynamics GP Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) Blogs, you will find yourself absolutely blessed !
Microsoft Dynamics GP Most Valuable Professionals (MVP) Blogs
My blog is also primarily functional - GP2theMAX.blogspot.com. It's been around for 5+ years and has links to other GP blogs.
