There is no official news in this regard. Service management and asset management are usually independent modules, each focusing on different business aspects. The service management module usually involves service-related business processes, and the asset management module focuses on managing the assets of the enterprise. Including fixed assets, equipment, etc. For this kind of news, I think you can check the official documentation of the module. Any changes in the functionality of the module will be stated in the documentation.

Hi,

There is any officiel announce by Microsoft, So I think that's not true.

Another point, the service management and Asset management are two different modules. each module has his own features.

So to answer to your question, it's a rumor.
