Business Central - Multi Geo Locations ( BC Version )

The new business central release wave 2 introduced the feature of having multiple geo locations. We have used that feature for one of our clients located in the US

The production environment we have created for them in the US has the following application version :

                 0383.png

We have created a new production environment for them since they have another entity located in the middle east .. we have used the location "AE" for this specific region in the middle east. When we have logged to this environment, it sows the following version:

    22.png

My question is, which version is this ? It is supposed to be W1 version but it is not showing … how can we check ?

In addition, our client has anther company in Germany and we need to create another production environment for them in Germany , which version of Business Central it will be once we choose the location as "Germany" ?

According to Microsoft, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/tenant-admin-center-environments

"In the Country list, select the country for the environment. The selected country determines the localization for the environment, as well as the Azure region in which the environment is created and stored."

Would you please elaborate ?

Thanks,

Hi, as far as I know, this is impossible.
You can try to submit a Service Request to the Microsoft support team.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

If production environment has been set to AU and experience performance issue, how can we move the environment to location that into our country SG ?

    Is that possible ?

    Hi,

W1 version is not present in Business Central Production Tenant AFAIK.

You can upvote the idea here experience.dynamics.com/.../

To check which country localisation is currently present you can goto Admin Center

    businesscentral.dynamics.com/admin

When you select country localisation in creation of Production Environment, a specific version of Business Central as per Country is created and hosted on Azure in data center in or close to the country.
