multiple warehouse class code for 1 bin

Hi, we have a case where our client has segregation requirement in the warehouse - which we are using warehouse class code.

But when the items are in production, the consumption bin needs to allow doe  mix of warehouse class.

For example

Bin AA01: Whse. class 1

Bin BB01 :Whse.Class  2

To-Production Bin: Whse. Class 1 & Whse Class 2

What makes the situation complicated is that they have multiple consumption bin (this cannot be changed).

Is anyone aware of any extension providers that has a solution for such scenario?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

If you don't get further responses to this issue, you may want to raise a support request to Microsoft support via your CSP / Partner.

I’m not certain as I’m not in front of BC right now but do you not just need to remove the warehouse class from the production in bin?

That will then allow all items to pass through in the same way receiving and shipping bins do.

You cannot assign two classes to a bin.

Classes are used to limit movements of stock to certain bins depending on critical product characteristics.

For example, in the food industry warehouse classes are temperature ranges like frozen or ambient.

Therefore, BC will not let a user register movements for frozen goods into a bin setup as ambient.

Warehouse classes are hard stops. With warehouse classes in use, your client needs to create different To-Production bins per each warehouse class. However, if your client requires movements of items with different warehouse classes into the same bin, they are probably using classes for the wrong reason.
