Hello,

we need to create a PCF for a Customer that offers a list of Records of Entity A but also displays Records from Entity B,C and D below it when a Record of Entity A is clicked.

So a subgrid that shows the related Records to this one.

Any tips would help as i haven't worked with PCF before.

Thanks in Advance.

Greetings Jakob

    Hello Jacob,

I have an impression that you plan to reinvent the wheel. OOB Editable grid has a nested pattern - d365demystified.com/.../

If existing functionality doesn't satisfy your needs... Then my youtube channel (the link is in my signature) can help you to make first steps in development of PCF controls.

    Hello Andrew,

is there a way to nest multiple Entitys under one Entity.

    so like:

    Entity A

    -Entity B

    -Entity C

    - Entity D

the Editable grid would be of Entity A but under its records it shows the related records of multiple other Entitys.

it seems to only work with one nested entity below the main entity

    Thanks already for your help.

In case you want to use multiple nested recordsets you will have to build it.

    Sorry, not getting it 100%.

yes, it works with more nested records?

    or

yes, i have to build a pcf because it is not possible ootb?

It was the second one. Build = develop own PCF.

alright. do you have and tips or shortcuts on how i can achieve a structure like i described above?

to display the related records of 3 entitys for every record of the entity the pcf is created for.

    thanks already.

Main direction - go React/FluentUI - it will be much easier to build what you need using it and to be more specific - developer.microsoft.com/.../fluentui
