Trial Balance - Short Cut Dimensions

There is an existing report "Trial Balance - Spread by Global Dimensions" that allows me to display a separate column for each code for the Global Dimension Selected. Without resorting to a third party system or without reassigning the global dimension is there a way to get the same or similar report for a shortcut dimension?

I don’t believe there’s an out-of-the-box report for this. However, you can set up a custom report using the Financial Reporting module. Alternatively, you could use Power BI or Jet Reports to create this report.

That will work to display a list of transactions and the respective dimensions, but as far as I know it doesn’t really function as a true trial balance.
