Tracking the email in CRM using Outlook client

Hi,

I am wondering how will the email gets tracked in CRM.

What I wanted to do is I wanted to track the emails that are received for that particular Account for reporting purposes.

How will Outlook Client know to which Account it is associated?

Any help or guidance with screen shots is appreciated.

Hi!

As to your concern to track emails selectively for whatever reason, I can suggest you try an email tracking solution for Microsoft Dynamics 365, called EmailScoop. Check this link for more info on its functionality and capabilities https://www.scnsoft.com/services/crm/microsoft-dynamics/add-ons/emailscoop-tracker. It allows for privacy settings, such as to set email tracking for specific users, or to exclude certain users from tracking (for example, emails of C-level executives). It seems a good solution for your case.

Hi Sam,

There is automatically track option, once you configure automatically track copy of email record is saved in activities.

With automatic tracking you have option to create contacts or leads into CRM system.

Another option is manually track email conversion using "Track email" button in outlook.

Hi Mahadeo,

I think you are the only one who can help me regarding this.

My outlook email consists if internal conversation emails which are not related to CRM. When I install the outlook client, will it track all these emails also?

If yes, then can you please let me know where does it gets tracked since they are not my contacts or Accounts.
