Hi,

I am trying to read all documents that have been selected from the apply payables documents scroll window in order to print them on a report. Is it possible to get these directly from the window using dexterity?

 thank you

There is no way from Dexterity to programmatically scroll from one line to the next, you are always stuck with the record the user has selected, so it is not possible to read all the records  from the scrolling window directly.

However, alternatively you could try reading off the table buffer and this is what most of us do instead.

I think you are having FlexGrid control concept in your mind, but scrolling window is much different than FlexGrid, you have to play with Table buffer.

    IamET,

You can get all selected records from PM_Apply_To_OPEN_OPEN(PM20100) table with Key Source is "Apply_XPMUserID" for particular vendor id.

you should read the data from that table before you click the OK of form apply payables documents. After click the OK button Key source will changed to REMITTANCE.

    Regards

I was actually looking at PM20100 right now and the answer seems to be there. Thanks everyone

An easy way to determine the Key Source is to get it directly from the Apply Window. It is a hidden field.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Select from scrolling window

I am not sure if i should get my data before or after the OK button is hit. I've noticed that upon selecting a document from the list the line is not always inserted in PM20100 (i think the last selected document is missing) so I think I have to get the data after the OK is hit.

Also clicking OK changes the Keysource to Remmitance only if the payment has been posted.  If not posted the keysource is like Payment number plus a 6 at the end and remains the same even if OK is hit. I want to print the applied documents no matter if the payment has been posted or not which i can still do since I have the payment ID and Document Number, I don't see why the keysource is needed.

Yes you definitely don't need the Key Source in that case. There are many ways to do it, and that is why my original reply was general because I cannot assume the specific details of your requirement. The important thing is that you grasp the concept and you were able to use it to meet your goal.
