Issue Syncing Unit Group > UOM > Items > SalesOrder

Hi guys, thanks for you support here in the forum. I have a question again. I think I found the issue why my records in CRM is not being processed by BC. I have these "Synch. Only Coupled Records" enabled. Can you confirm if my understanding is correct?

However, when I tried running full sync for the UNIT GROUP, I'm getting this error. Which confuses me, because it's referring to the Item table in BC... Where in my understanding, before I get to sync Items to BC, I need to Sync Unit Group and UOMs first. Do I need to create an Item with same name "DEFAULT UNIT"?

    Hello,

Yes, the reason your CRM records weren’t syncing is because “Synch. Only Coupled Records” was turned on. That blocks new Unit Groups and UOMs from coming into BC.
The “DEFAULT UNIT” error appears simply because the UOM doesn’t exist yet in BC, so the Unit Group can’t sync.
You don’t need an Item called DEFAULT UNIT — you just need the Unit of Measure to be synced first.
    Correct order:
Turn OFF “Synch. Only Coupled Records”.
    Sync UOMs first.
    Then sync Unit Groups.

    Hello,

Yes, your understanding is correct: enabling “Synch. Only Coupled Records” means only records already coupled between CRM and BC will sync.

The error during Unit Group sync likely occurs because BC validates the Base Unit of Measure linked to Items, and if the Unit “DEFAULT UNIT” from CRM doesn’t exist in BC’s Unit of Measure table, the process fails.

You don’t need an Item named “DEFAULT UNIT,” but you must ensure that this UOM exists in BC before syncing Unit Groups, then proceed with UOMs and Items in the correct order.

Hi Jainam and Oussamma, thank you so much for helping me out.

Here's a view of my data, it's mostly default.

In my BC, I have added the Units of Measure (For the PRIMUNIT, I tried renaming the Primary Unit in D365 sales so it'll match to the BC record, but still didn't work; I tried filtering the records to be synced to only Sync the PRIMUNIT, thinking that the relationship with the EA record and PRIMUNIT might be and issue too, didn't work)
