I am not able to see Design button on Business Central Cloud Version

Why I am not able to see Design button on Business Central cloud version on Production environment, even I have admin rights with Super.

    By design do you mean the ability to change the UI? The "Personalize" option gives you this.

    By Design. You should NEVER design in production. This will never ever be enabled.

    If you create a sandbox, this is enabled by default. It is THERE, in the sandbox, that you DESIGN your customization and if these are ok then you deploy them into production.

    This is the general idea.

    this is by design.

    Designer button is not enabled for Production and is available in Sandbox only.


    We have to design in Sandbox.

    test it.

    Download the extension from extension management page of sandbox

    Upload it in Production.

    Hi All,

    I am facing the same issue. Not able to see "Design" button on Business Central SAAS Sandbox instance. It was there and I was using this earlier. But today the button is not visible there in the Sandbox environment. The user is permitted with "Super" permission set.

    The Version is : IN Business Central 20.2 (Platform 20.0.41086.43571 + Application 20.2.41144.41547)

    Please advice on this.

    Is it possible it is controlled somewhere else other than with Permission sets?

    We have a Super user with D365 EXTENSION MGT + EXTEN. MGT. - ADMIN and they don't have the Design option in our Test environment.
