Removing Editable Grid Control from entity did not turn it off

Hi guys,

I have just added editable grids control for our users, but afterward found some fields of an entity we don't want at risk of easy overwrite.

1. I have removed the editable grid control from the entity in the default solution, saved and published the changes. The editable grid is still showing as an option on the list views, and it works. Getting rid of the control did not remove it from the entity. How can I turn this off?

2. Can we lock specified fields in editable grid mode? We do want them to be able to change the fields, but we want them to do it in the individual record not in the list view to prevent accidental overwrites. However it would be very beneficial to have editable grids for this entity. Can the control be configured for this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Mitchell,

    1. Can you please make sure, you have removed the option and in fact delete the editable grid control and then save and publish? Also clear the browser cache or try incognito to check if the issue is resolved. Delete the below shown control itself.

Also verify if the editable grid control is enabled on the views of these entities. If yes, then remove those as well.

    2. Here is a sample on how to lock the fields on the view, https://bettercrm.blog/2017/04/18/disable-columns-in-editable-grid/

Yes, the grid control was removed, saved and published.

Clearing the browser cache did resolve the issue for me.  Also the link for how to lock the fields was exactly what I needed.

    Thank you for these solutions.
