Microsoft Dynamics GP certification

Hi everyone, 

I'm an aspiring CPA and have just recently been introduced to Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015. I helped my former employer setup and configure MGP 2015 and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. 

I am pondering a career as a Dynamics GP consultant and wanted some advice, as to where to start, what certifications to do and any other general advice.

    Years ago Microsoft used to provide certifications themselves but they stopped that in the past couple of years.

    Now there are a couple of certifications through The Association of Dynamics Professionals that you can get.  Here's a link to their page:  www.dynamicspro.org/.../certificationexams

    I'd look in to GP partners in your area and see if any of them are hiring.  Some partners are ok with hiring consultants without any experience and tailoring them to how they do things.  That will get you some good experience.

    Accolade Publications has some really good books on GP that are not just manuals and explain the how and why things work the way they do.  Here's a link to their site:  www.accoladepublications.com
