user or team owned record?

I am developing a Workflow that is triggered when a record has been assigned to a user, but I don't want to trigger the WF when the record is assigned to a team.

Is there anyway in Dynamics CRM to know the owner of a record is a user or a team?

Hi Mabood,

Behind the scenes on the entities there are actually 3 different fields:

1. OwnerId

2. Owninguser

3. Owningteam

These are relationships to the Owning Team or Owning User. In your workflow you would check to see if the owner changes on the record and then put a check condition related to the Owning User and if the Owning User user name field does not contain data then you know the record is owned by a team and you can continue your logic as desired one way or the other.
