Problem with Internal Movment

Hi,

We are just introducing the Bins in our system. We are usng simple w/h setup with Inventory pick and put-away functionality.

We we see the difficulties if we would like to move items between bins.

I red this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/warehouse-how-to-move-items-ad-hoc-in-basic-warehousing which could help me

A) when I want to create the first Internal Movment I got this error: "Bin Mandatory must be equal to 'Yes' in Location: Code=. Current value is 'No'.". I setup myself as warehouse employee and mydefault location is the newly created warehouse with Bin Mandatory = yes. What else need to be set up?

B) I missed in teh documentation the setup of thenumber serie for the Internal Movments. Any idea where can I find it?

Hi,

A) The problem appears to be about the Location code its not related to your internal movement, check with Ctrl+Alt+F1 de data of the record.

B) I think you have to configure it in the Item card (docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-how-work-item-tracking)

In the page inspection all fields are Blank.

I tried to use a Location Filter to predivine teh location but no not works.

I assume there is a setup page when I can predivine a kind of 'default' location code - which has to be bin controlled. But I am not able to find this page.

Hi,

Did you try to check the employee location asignemeent in the Warehouse employee list? I think when you create a new internal movement, try to get the default or first allowed location assigned to the user, try to check it.

Yes that was the first I did. I set the new location as of my default location - but it didnot helped. On teh other hand the picks and put-aways which requires that setup too are working well.

Hi,

You can check the function in the Internal movement header by yourself or try to debug it ;

That's use a Query making a relation with the location and the employee, applies the filter with bin mandatory true, and directed put away and pick false, check it in your location.

Hi

Can you check Warehouse Employee then make sure your user has no blank location (like example below) if this is the case delete that blank location and test.

Other experts answered the part 2.
