Complete Shipping Advice - Item Level

Is there a way to set the shipping advice to complete, but only at the item level (not customer). I would like to set our items that come in Meters to only ship complete, though I do not need the rest of the items on an order to ship complete. Is this possible? I use warehouse shipments and picks. Thanks!

Hi, As far as I know, this can only be controlled on the header, so it is bound to the customer by default. You can modify it on the order page.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

No, standard Business Central does not allow Shipping Advice (Complete/Partial) to be set at item level — it is controlled at the sales header (customer or document) level, so you cannot require only certain items (like those in meters) to ship complete while allowing others to ship partially on the same order; with warehouse shipments and picks, “Complete” blocks the entire document until all lines are available, so if you need this behavior only for specific items, your practical options are to split those items onto separate sales orders with Shipping Advice = Complete, enforce it operationally in the warehouse, or implement a small customization that prevents partial shipment for selected items (for example via a custom field and posting validation).

    Hi,

Standard Business central provides the field only on Customer card and then on the Sales order page.
So you really need to control it on the Sales order only.

If required, you can also do a customization to add the field on Item card and update it on Sales order/Sales header when item is selected.

Tick the checkbox below to mark the answer as verified, if it helped resolve your question.

    Regards,
    Dhiren.
