New Report Permission Issue After On-Premises Deployment (Works in Local Environment

(3) ShareShare
ReportReport

Hi All,

In the On-Premises environment, after deploying to the client system, I am facing an issue with a new report.

The default report is working correctly. However, when I click the action button for the new report, it throws an error (please see the attached screenshot for reference).

I have already generated the required permissions in VS Code and included them in the deployment.

The same PET is working fine in my local environment. The issue occurs only in the client’s On-Premises system.

Could you please advise what might be causing this issue?

Thank you.

    Hi There,

On-prem custom objects need to go hand in hand with a BC license that has that object no (Report 60100) assigned in the customer's license.

If this object (Report 60100) is not assigned to the customer license, regardless of you giving users permission, you will get this error.

My recommendation is to confirm that Report 60100 is in the customer's license object range and that it is assigned to the latest license, which also need to be imported into the customer's environment, with services restarted afterwards.

Since you are using On-Prem  , Even though u assign permission in Object file . You need to assign in license and permission repot in Portal .

This you need to infrom to License Provider .
You ger Permission Report Assigned to License

    Please verify  this report

    Hello,

This error means the user is missing Execute permission on the new report or permissions to one of the objects it accesses. Even if you generated the permission set in VS Code, it must still be assigned to the user or user group in the client’s on-prem environment. Also ensure the permission set includes Execute on Report 60100 and any required Read/Indirect permissions on related tables or codeunits used by the report. Since it works locally (likely with SUPER), this is almost certainly a missing permission assignment in the client system.

    Regards,
    Oussama Sabbouh
