SOP - History of changes

Does GP maintain a history (even temp) of changes made to a sales order (separate fulfillment)? I'm trying to determine if a user changed the Qty to Invoice, after workers had begun picking the order. Right now, it appears that several items were over picked; so I want to eliminate the possibility that another user changed/lowered the qty's on those particular items.

Thanks!

    Hi GPBob

For the most part there is no tracking of changes on any GP table.  Some tables may have a user who entered and a user who edited field but that would be changed if more than one user made changes and you would only see the last user who modified the record.

For full auditing of changes one would have to have been using Audit Trails (GP 2010 and before) or one of the 3rd party auditing products available.

You could run a smartlist (or a sql query) on the Sales unposted transactions (SOP10100) or the Sales Posted transactions (SOP30200) tables to see who the user who entered the transaction is and you can also see the user who posted.

Thanks, Jeffrey. I was afraid there might be a limited amount I could do. Right now, I'm looking at an unposted transaction, with a modified date the same as the date the picking was done and that some (good) changes were entered. So, unfortunately, the date doesn't help me to know if someone made changes later in the day. Do you by chance know of any other way I could determine later changes?

Sorry GPBob I really don't know of any other way to track the changes unless you were using some sort of auditing software.

Maybe someone else can weigh in on this.

No problem at all, Jeffrey. I figured I would be swinging for the fences on this one. I really appreciate the insight.
