Inventory with LP exists in a non-LP controlled location; cannot remove by conventional means

Scenario:
A location that is set to a loc profile that is NOT LP-tracked somehow received inventory that has an LP#. We want to remove the inventory (as it no longer exists physically).

Issue:
Conventional means thus far have been unsuccessful; transfer, movement, adjustment, counting, consumption, etc because in each situation we have to indicate the LP but the system errors out; "license plate was specified on a non license plate controlled location".

Has anyone had success fixing a similar scenario without having to utilize SQL code or DB dev access?
Any leads on how this inventory slipped through the cracks on the configs and was allowed by the system?

Thanks in advance!

Could you please check the data consistency for certain items and locations? We've been having similar problems lately, so perhaps this can be resolved.

I ran a consistency check for just on-hand yesterday, doesnt look like that resolved this issue.

I was planning to extend that check with additional fields one at a time to avoid too long of processing times; Locations, Item/Inventory transactions and WH/Inventory transactions. Do you have additional fields you'd suggest I run the check against?

    Hi,

    This can happen at times.

Try running consistency check once with invent trans, invent sum and warehouse management selected. If consistency check does not help then you can use custom scripts to fix the data.

Please test custom scripts in a test environment first before you use them in production.

These are the only available options, as Sagar has included a custom script—please try using it.

The inventory was received into that location by mistake, which was error. In most cases, this issue is resolved by running the Consistency Check using the Fix/Error option.

We had similar issues previously, and they were resolved using this approach. As an alternative, Create a ticket a Microsoft-provided script can also be used.
