Hi All,

I encountered an issue in Business Central version 24.5.23489.23968 when changing the reorder point for an item. After changing the value for the reorder point and pressing the back button on the item card, two error messages appear. First, the standard error message: "The page contains an error. Refresh (F5) to undo the change or correct the error." Additionally, the error message "Unknown record type" is displayed. In the production environment with version 24.4.22295.22393, no error occurs when changing the reorder point. I also uninstalled our app from the sandbox to rule out any influence from the app. However, the error reappeared exactly as before.

Hi Michael, It sounds like you’ve been dealing with a frustrating issue in Business Central 24.5 when changing the reorder point.

I recently updated from version 24.4 to 24.5 and had a similar concern. However, after the update, I found that changing the reorder point worked fine for me without any errors.

Suggestion: Clear Cache: try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser, as this can sometimes resolve unexpected behavior.

Hi Khushbu Rajvi,
I have cleared the cache of the Google Chrome browser, but I am still encountering the same error. I have also tested it with Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox, and I continue to get the same error message. Even when I set the reorder point for an item that previously had no reorder point, I receive the same error.

Hi, i got exactly the same issue....

When i tried to change fields in Item Card, the Unknown record type error pops out.

I don't know what triggered the issue, but this issue start happenning since the system upgraded to version 24.5.23489.25263.

Only Microsoft extensions are installed. All custom extensions have been uninstalled. The version in the sandbox has changed from 24.5.23489.23968 to 24.5.23489.25205 since Friday, October 11, 2024. I tested it this morning. I cleared the browser cache in Edge. The error messages, as shown in the screenshot, are still appearing.

This issue appears to be fixed in version 24.5.23489.24989 or at least I cant replicate the problem. Please can you check your version and try again?

Please restart and check it.

Is it possible for you to create a new sandbox? If yes, then create it and check if you are facing the same issue in that sandbox as well.
