Timeout workflow is keep sending email and never stop

I've following workflow definition in Dynamics CRM online but it keep sending email and never stop. The events are on Create and Change of Email Flag and Est. Closure Date. But still it is sending more than 40 emails in an hours. Any idea what is not stopping this workflow?

    Hi Nithya - I've 15 open opportunities supposed to be closed on 15th of August. So their reminder emails supposed to be sent today. However, instead of only 15 emails I am receiving around 700 emails. So, removing aforementioned is not working.

    What is the need of the step marked in red below? Try removing this step.

    This step is updating the Email Flag to No which triggers the process again and again in parallel. This will create many parallel process sessions which will send unwanted emails from each process session.

    If the email Flag is not set to Yes, it will be definitely No. This means, in the otherwise, there is no need to update the email flag to No.
