Good Afternoon,

After much re searching trial and error can someone please help me!

I have added a custom field into the Sales line's so that we can filter and assign a customer to an item.

How do i get this to automatically filter based on the customer name from the sales header so that we dont have to filter the list everytime thus making it customer specific?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi @Sam,

Can you describe the business requirements?

    Hi Mohamed

Do what we are trying to end up with is ease of use for our staff, we do wet painting and powder coating. so all of the items we have arent ours they are our customers, so with our current system we have ended up with around 70,000 or so items which scrolling and searching for what we want is a pain! So we thought can we run a dynamic filter on the item lookup on the sales order subform ie through the sales header linked to the customers name. This way the items would be specific to that customer as we have had times where from the fabricators were we have painted the same part however they have different paperwork requirments so dont want to get it wrong!

Hi, I remember your question yesterday. But this is difficult to do unless you create a new button (action) to open a new lookup page.
