SQL Server Compatibility Level supported for Dynamics 365 On Premise

Our Dynamics 365 8.2.2.160 on premise environment has been migrated from 2011, via 2013 and 2015. The Organization Databases are SQL Server 2016 Enterprise CU2 (13.0.4411.0), but with Compatibility Level 110 (SQL Server 2012).

Is it supported (safe) to change Compatibility Level to 130?

Any experiences/thoughts on this topic are appreciated.

Check below article , I have not seen any recommendation to safe to update compatibility level 130.

Thanks for your answer. We have read the articles you refer to, and thus ask here if anyone can advice us to upgrade compatibility level (or not).

There are not many good reasons to upgrade the compatibility level. One possibility is if you have SSRS SQL reports that could benefit from features above level 110. Without knowing any more about your system, on balance I'd stay on level 110, given the known issues referenced in the previous post
