We are using Business Central 22.1. The event log very often contains the following message:

The HTTP header ClientActivityId is not set or has an invalid GUID. Cancellation cannot be registered.

Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause?
Can the message be ignored?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi
I hope this can  help you and give you some hints
    The solution was there:
"The ADOpenIDMetadataLocation key must have the value  https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/.well-known/openid-configuration  . Adjusting that value in the customsettings.config and restarting the service solved the problem."
    best regards
    Gerardo

    Hi Gerardo,

Many thanks for your reply! I had already seen the two websites mentioned. However, as Google only lists a total of three search hits for the message (I rarely experience this), I wanted to get an additional opinion. I will carry out a test.

    Best regards,

    Thorsten

    Hello,

I have tried the suggested setting:

Set-NavServerConfiguration -ServerInstance [Instance] -Keyname ADOpenIdMetadataLocation -Keyvalue "https://login.microsoftonline.com/common/.well-known/openid-configuration"
    Restart-NAVServerInstance -ServerInstance [Instance]

Unfortunately, the message is still written to the log.
